What To Do This Weekend - Explore Sea Life at The Rooms & Try a Funky Snowman

Yay! Tomorrow is Friday..... the weekend is on the way! Here are some family fun ideas:

• Head to Chapters or the Library on Saturday - it is supposed to be a slushy-goopy-indoor day. The kind where there is nothing better than searching for a brand new book, bringing it home & curling up with hot cocoa, kids and your hubby :-)... ahhhhh! Stoked ;-)
• Big on my list - heading out to The Rooms on Sunday. Dale Jarvis will be there telling "tales from the deep" AND it is Family Fun Day (2-4 PM), where, this week, the kids can make a mermaid or sea creature. Sounds fun!
• How about making a snowman with a twist? Lord knows we have enough snow now! Head out with the kids to try your best at a SpongeBob Snowman, a Princess Snowlady or a penguin (from Madagascar?). How about Megamind? Or those little dudes from Despicable Me? Or a Lightening McQueen one... does he need a garage? Or a fort? House? Pineapple? Possibilities are endless here, folks! Use food colouring diluted in water in an old spray bottle to add colour to your creation. Don't forget to take a picture when you're done :-)
• Date Night? - check out The Eagle - great movie, though a couple of scenes showing a boy's possible fate in 120AD were brutal for a mama. I really enjoyed it overall though!
