Event Hightlights

Health Canada reports of a recall involving "ERTL" brand wagons, trikes and wheelbarrows sold as toys licensed by John Deere or Case. The surface coating on the Case and John Deere products contained barium levels in excess of the allowable limit as outlined in Canada's Toy Regulations.

Children's toys coated with paint containing barium in excess of the allowable limit are strictly prohibited in Canada.

Units of the recalled toys were sold across Canada from September 2010 to January 2012.

Corrective Action:Consumers should stop using the affected toys and visit TOMY Canada's website or call TOMY's Customer Care Centre at 1-866-725-4407.
