What To Do this Weekend - ARTFUSION, Family Fun & Walk for Paws!

With the exception of that wee bit o' wind we had on Tuesday, what a beautiful sunny week we have had! The weekend doesn't look half bad either: sunny with cloudy periods and highs of 16-17 (sorry Mom - no rain for the plants & trees till Monday ;-).

One thing that I am really excited about this weekend: it is the kickoff of Arts Week and ARTFUSION in Mt. Pearl! There are many events planned throughout the week, including story times, arts & crafts, a murder mystery (see my calendar or visit www.aamp.ca). The big opening event, the ARTFUSION Festival,  is Saturday afternoon at the Kenmount Park Community Centre from 12 noon onwards. Be sure to check it out!

Sunday also brings many wonderful things, including the return of Fall Family Fun Programs at Botanical Garden. Activities include Bird Watching, Nature Hikes, Meet the Critters, Duck feeding, story time & crafts (link to details in my calendar or visit www.mun.ca/botgarden). You will also want to check out Beagle Paws Walk for Paws and Family Fun Day at Bowring Park Sunday afternoon from 1:00PM. This fundraiser is all about dogs and all breeds are welcome. Activities include fun dog games, entertainment, cake for dogs and people, door prizes, a "Best Dressed Pooch" contest and much more! Walk pledge sheets available by visiting www.beaglepaws.com or phone 738-7297. Don't forget the Terry Fox Walk on Sunday as well, and Jedi Training for those blessed with the Force ;-)
