Not a hockey fan? Well, we are due for a wee bit of snow in the next couple of days... not too much, just enough to freshen up the terrain again and make it pleasant for more sledding or snowshoeing... both of which will be on my list for the near future as the winters seem short the last few years and I don't want to miss out!
A stroll through Bowring Park might be in order as well.... I LOVE feeding the ducks in winter!
And, another option: A new movie program started at the GEO Centre on January 10th! While I am sad to see The Gruffalo's Child go, I am excited at having some new options! Their line up now includes a movie about bats, one about the deep ocean and an animated one about dinosaurs. For complete schedule and movie synopsis, check here.

There is also a new exhibit at The Rooms this week: Wind-Ships: Cargo Vessels in the Last Days of Sail. Featuring paintings of ships from days gone by, it will be of particular interest if you have a boat or transport obsessed little one ;-)
