Due to safety reasons, Britax Child Safety has announced that it is recalling CHAPERONE™ Infant Car Seats manufactured and sold between April 2009 and May 2010. These seats pose a laceration and choking hazard as the harness chest clip can break, creating a broken clip with sharp edges that could puncture a child or choke them if swallowed.
If you have a Chaperone Infant Car Seat, the company advises to check the back of the chest clip for the letters "PC" moulded into the plastic. Car seats with "PC" are affected by this recall and these consumers should immediately contact Britax for a free repair kit. For complete details and more information, click here
