Tomorrow (Wednesday, Sept. 29) is a very busy day in St. John's! I have three events I want to share with you:
Raise-A-Reader Paper Sales
Wednesday morning, from 7-9AM, volunteers will be selling special editions of the Telegram at various locations (including 12 schools) in the city. To purchase, simply donate to the Raise-A-Reader cause. All proceeds stay in the community where they were received. This is a wonderful opportunity to support (and increase!) local literacy rates. For more information: Raise-A-Reader
Raise-A-Reader Storytime @ Mt. Pearl Public Library
Another great opportunity to support local literacy! Starting at 10:30AM, at the Ross King Memorial Library in Mt. Pearl, all funds raised will be used to purchase books and/or materials for literacy programmes. The library is across from Motor Vehicle Registration Building and is sandwiched between the Reid Centre and the Glacier. Complete details are here.
Help-For-Home Radiothon
Tune into ANY Steele Communication Radio Station on Wednesday from 6AM - 6PM to support their Help For Home Radiothon. This is an initiative between Steele Communications and The Salvation Army to raise money for those affected by Hurricane Igor. To donate online visit Help-For-Home.
I'll be posting another card a little later on today - be sure to check back if crafting is your thing!
