Recall - Strollers (injury risk) & Hot Chocolate (contains nuts)

These recalls notices from HSW may be of interest to you: 

  • Health Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission report of a recall involving "sport v2" and "classic v1" jogging strollers by phil&teds. The stroller's hinge mechanism poses a potential fingertip amputation and laceration hazard to the child or adult when the consumer is folding and unfolding the stroller. More info here
  • The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Mountainview Marketing are warning people with allergies to almonds not to consume the Pelican Bay Ltd. Toffee Fudge Hot Chocolate described here. The affected product contains almonds which are not declared on the label. It was sold at Shopper's Drug Mart. More info here
