Health Canada reports of a recall involving White Lace Girl's Nightgown. The recalled sleepwear does not meet the flammability requirements for children's sleepwear under Canadian law.Children's sleepwear that is loose fitting or that has loose edges can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more easily than tight-fitting sleepwear. Once ignited the sleepwear can burn rapidly and cause severe burns to large areas of the child's body, resulting in shock and sometimes death.
