Marvelous Monday - Birthday Monkey

I LOVE it when the sun is shinin' on a Monday morning - it gives a good vibe to the week right off the bat. A promise of good things to come :-)

We had a birthday at our house this past week. It got me all mushy.... my boys are growing way to fast! I want to freeze them and have them this age forever! Last night, our youngest wanted to sleep in our bed. I said yes, and told DH he could move him when we went to bed, knowing full well he wouldn't. It was not the most restful sleep, but there will come a time when Toad no longer wants to crawl in with Mommy & Daddy, and unfortunately, that time is likely to come soon (Mario is only a couple of years older and I can't recall the last time he came to our room). As I said to DH when he complained of the cost of throwing birthday parties, enjoy it while it lasts, because in a few years, this will be behind us, and we will miss it when it is gone, just like he misses the boys sitting on his shoulders when we go on a hike now.....

Of course, birthdays mean cake (!!) and cards. I'll share Toad's cake with you tomorrow, and today I wanted to show you the card that I made for him. Here it is:
