What To Do This Weekend - Support Claire's Craft Fair.... and Join the SCI-FI Fun!

Well folks, the big thing this weekend has GOT to be Sci-Fi On The Rock! Who among us does not like Star Wars? Vampires? Harry Potter? Star Trek? Aliens? Dr. Who? See - I just proved it would have something for everyone (there is all that and more besides!). At the Holiday Inn all weekend long - visit Sci-Fi on the Rock website for ticket purchases!

It is also a crafty little weekend, whether you are looking to buy or to create. On Saturday, visit Claire's Craft Fair at the Easter Seals Building on Mt. Scio Rd - this fair is being organised by the family of 3-yr old Claire, a little girl with cerebral palsy, and proceeds will support Easter Seals. And for kids who like to create, head to Michael's on Saturday morning to make a Mother's Day Frame!

For other social get-togethers, kids can hang at Clay Cafe for Kids Night Out (tonight), participate in the drumming circle with Alive Adventures (Saturday) or listen in on the Children's Read-along at the Rocket (Sunday). And of course, there is always Family Fun at The Rooms (theme this week: And the Winner Is....) and Kid's Club at the Fluvarium (theme for April is Going Green).

Oh! And before I go, one more thing to keep in mind for the week ahead....proof that Summer is coming.. MUN Botanical Garden OPENS FOR THE SEASON on WEDNESDAY MAY 1!!!! WOOT!!
