Recall - American Girl Crafts™ Pearly Beads & Ribbon Bracelets (Lead Risk)

Event Hightlights
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports of a recall involving American Girl Crafts™ Pearly Beads & Ribbon Bracelets kit. The surface coating on some of the beads contains excessive levels of lead.

Recalled items were sold in the U.S. at Michaels Stores and other retailers nationwide from September 2009 through June 2011 for about $8. HSW confirmed with the distributor that recalled product may have been sold in Canada.
Corrective Action:Consumers should immediately take the recalled kits and any finished bracelets made from the kits away from children and contact the company for a full refund.

HSW Comment: At the time of posting this Event, Health Canada had not issued any information about this recall.
