What To Do This Weekend - Treat DH to Laser Tag or Paintball and an Afternoon Outside

Well folks, you may be wondering, with all this RDF, is she still wearing her sundresses?

Answer - yes, I am! Albeit with sweaters and leg warmers - I look lovely.

Want the bad news? No heat waves coming yet....

Want the good news? So far, the is NO RAIN in the forecast for the weekend. Fingers crossed it will be sunny, with a very, very, VERY low windchill factor!

Tomorrow afternoon however, it is supposed to be raining still, so it is a good day to pack up the kids and head to  the Michael Donovan Library, where they will be having a Father's Day Story time with reading, rhymes, games and treats as well to get everyone in the festive mood ;-) 3:30, detail in Calendar below.

On Saturday and Sunday, when the weather improves a bit, pack a bag with an extra sweater, and head to Thomas Amusements at Zellers on Stavanger Dr. They open 1PM on weekends. Head there after attending the Photographing Your Family Workshop with Angela Ruth Photography, and you'll be able to put your new skills into action ;-)

What to do the rest of the weekend? Well, there are a few flea markets again - in addition to the one at the CLB Armoury, there is a Knights of Columbus fundraiser flea market on Saturday at St. Paul's School, and one sponsored by St. Philip's ACW on Thorburn Rd. I may check out a couple to see the going rates for some stuff I might like to sell - once it warms up, I wouldn't mind having a garage sale ;-)

In addition to giving my DH a break from MY demands on Sunday, I'm planning to head over to MUN Botanical Garden's Family Afternoon! The Gardens are fun any time, and they go all out Sundays - a relaxing, fun, nature-filled afternoon sounds perfect to me!

Speaking of Father's Day.... why not take everyone to Frontline (Pearl Place off Brookfield Rd) and play Laser Tag or Paintball?  Your DH will love the opportunity to "get" the kids... then have a nice BBQ for supper, you do the grilling ;-)

Have a great one!

For details on events in & around town, check my events calendar regularly - it is on the bottom of EVERY page :-) The Tely Go Guide published in Arts & Life section every Thursday is also a good source.

If you have something to add to the Calendar, please let me know! Complete details can be found here and I welcome being added to any "Events Distribution list" your facility might have :-)
