What To Do This Weekend - Celebrate National Engineering and Geoscience Month

Well, you have a choice of Family Friendly events this weekend at The Rooms, the Fluvarium and the GEO Centre:

  • EDIT #2 This IS a GO: Saturday, pop over to the Geo Centre for their Model Bridge and Family Fun Day, being held to celebrate National Engineering and Geo science Month. Several Popsicle stick bridges will be tested, and there will be other fun activities such as panning for gold. BONUS: Admission is free (except for 3D films)!
  • The theme for the Fluvarium Kid's Program this month is Waking Up: Winter is coming to an end and Spring just around the corner, so who is waking up and who is sleeping in just a little longer? Children can find out Saturdays and Sundays at 1:30 p.m. in March.
  • And, last but not least, the theme for this week's Family Fun program at The Rooms is Fish Printing. Children will learn about Gyotaku, the Japanese folk art of making prints or rubbings from fish, and create their own Gyotaku while learning about some of the fish species that occupy our oceans and freshwater systems. Sunday 2-4PM.
Also, a heads up: Love You Forever and Other Stories by Robert Munsch is coming next weekend (March 8-10) to the LSPU Hall and promises to be a fun event for any Robert Munsch fan! See details in the calendar, and get tickets soon to avoid disappointment ;-)

Have a good one!

For details on events in & around town, check my events calendar regularly - it is on the bottom of EVERY page :-) The Tely Go Guide published in Arts & Life section every Thursday is also a good source.

If you have something to add to the Calendar, please let me know! Complete details can be found here and I welcome being added to any "Events Distribution list" your facility might have :-)
