The following is pulled from a newsletter sent by the Anna Templeton Centre this AM: There will be a gigantic sale of craft supplies, "seconds" & "not-so-perfects" from Craft Council members at the Centre tomorrow May 5, from 9 AM - 2PM. AND there is a May Day Craft Weekend at participating locations both Saturday and Sunday. See the information below and the embedded link for more details. Cheers!
May Day Craft Weekend!
Be sure to come by the Anna Templeton Centre on Saturday, May 5, 9 am - 2 pm for the gigantic sale of craft supplies, "seconds" & "not-so-perfects" from Craft Council members. Browse for craft-making materials and other treasures including: fabric, yarns, books, sewing notions, pottery, and more - all at terrific prices. Shop and support our fundraiser!
It's all a part of the May Day Craft Weekend - Saturday, May 5th & Sunday, May 6th, is an opportunity to connect with craft during a special weekend showcase of our City's finest craft studios and shops. You will experience live craft demonstrations, get involved in the process with hands on activities, taste test and browse the wonderful wares on display!
Pick up a May Day Passport at a participating location, visit any four (4) or more events during the weekend and collect official May Day stamps to qualify to win a beautiful basket of fine craft (value $200). Look for Republic flag colours decorating each participating location, pick up a passport at any one of them and start your "tour" to experience craft and culture! This event is free to the public. All ages welcome.
