The Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador Recreational Therapy Programs

I just came across this notice in the Telegram and wanted to pass it along- recreational programs designed for the specific needs of children on the Autism Spectrum.

The Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, South and Central Chapter are excited to offer new recreational therapy programs this winter. We are offering: Early Intervention Music Groups for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder ages two to five. Interactive Music Groups for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder ages five to adult. We are also offering one-to-one sessions if individuals are interested. If you or anyone you know are interested in these groups please contact Kimberly-Ann McDonald, regional program co-ordinator for the Autism Society at 489-4190 or email info@asnl.ca or visit www.asnl.ca. Registration now open.

By the way, April 2nd was World Autism Awareness Day (but of course, you can honour it all month long;-)! You can learn more about it at AutismCanada.org and AutismSpeaks.org.
