Quick post to pass along this recall info from HSW:
Health Canada reports of a recall involving Sea Pals Water Teethers by Infantino. Testing by Health Canada has revealed that the liquid filling of the teether may be contaminated with the bacteria Burkholderia tropica. These bacteria may cause infection in children with weakened immune systems, if the teether is punctured and the liquid filling from the teether is ingested
Teethers are packaged in a box containing two teethers: a lobster-shaped teether and a fish-shaped teether with a yellow body and a liquid-filled blue tail.See Product Details tab for specifics on the affected items.
Recalled teethers were sold at Winners stores in Canada from October 2010 to December 2010.
Corrective Action:
Consumers should immediately take the recalled teethers away from children.
