The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports of a recall involving the SnoThro 30LE Deluxe Snow Thrower. Users trying to clear the collector or discharge chute while the machine is operating could be at risk of a finger or hand injury hazard.

Recalled product was sold at Home Depot and local Ariens authorized dealerships from October 2009 to January 2010 for about $1,500. HSW confirmed with the manufacturer that recalled product was distributed in Canada.
Corrective Action:
Remedy: Ariens Company has fixed about 600 of these units prior to their sale. To determine if your unit has been repaired contact Ariens. If your unit has not been repaired, Ariens will assist you in scheduling an appointment for a free repair with an Ariens authorized dealer in your area.
