Recall - Sassy® "Refreshing Rings" Rattle/Teether

A quick post to pass along this recall information from HSW:

Health Canada and the US Consumer Product Safety Commission report of a recall involving the Sassy® "Refreshing Rings" rattle/teether. The soft black plastic may separate from the black and white polka-dot when chewed or pulled at, and these small components may pose a choking hazard if ingested by an infant or small child.

See HSW's Product Details tab for specifics on the affected item.

Health Canada has received one complaint about a child who chewed the plastic ball attached to the teether, and a piece of the soft black plastic came loose and became lodged in the child's throat. Sassy, Inc. is aware of three other reports of the soft black plastic releasing.

Recalled teethers were sold in Canada from July 2010 to January 2011.

Corrective Action:
Consumers should immediately take the recalled teethers away from children and Contact ISIS Inc. for a mail-in credit certificate.
Consumers can get the mail-in credit certificate from ISIS Inc. by following this link Instructions for obtaining your mail-in credit certificate. For more information, consumers may contact ISIS Inc. at 1-800-667-4111.
