Recall - Pier 1 Imports Red and White Ornament Tea Lights

Event Hightlights

Health Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission report of a recall involving Golden Tea Lights in Red and White Ornament Tea Light Holder Sets. The flame from the tea lights can become very high, posing a fire and burn hazard to consumers.

▲The firm has received four reports of high flames. In one of these incidents, the consumer suffered a burn.

Recalled tea lights were sold exclusively at Pier 1 Imports stores from September 2010 through January 2011.

Corrective Action:Consumers should immediately stop using the gold tea lights sold with the Red Ornament Tea Light Holder and the White Ornament Tea Light Holder. Consumers may return the tea lights to their nearest Pier 1 Imports retail store where they will be exchanged for new tea lights.
